Document Details : Title: The Concise Groundwork of Moral Philosophy Subtitle: An Anonymous Thomist-Buridanist Opusculum Author(s): GULDENTOPS, Guy Journal: Recherches de Théologie et Philosophie Médiévales Volume: 82 Issue: 1 Date: 2015 Pages: 89-193 DOI: 10.2143/RTPM.82.1.3080626 Abstract : Moralis philosophie fundamentum compendiosum is a fifteenth-century Viennese treatise on virtue ethics, focusing on the connection of the virtues. Whereas the attribution of this text to Leonard Praxatoris ( 1494) is uncertain, it is very likely that the work influenced Henry Platterberger’s Compendium moralis philosophie (written around 1465 at the University of Vienna). The appendix offers an edition of Moralis philosophie fundamentum compendiosum and a collection of lecture notes by Praxatoris. |
