These sermons are preserved in two manuscripts: Brussel, Koninklijke Bibliotheek, MS II 2098 (twenty sermons from 1574 and one from 1573) and Brussel, Koninklijke Bibliotheek, MS 2981 (eighteen sermons from 1576). This article provides an edition of the five sermons that are part of the Christmas cycle in the oldest manuscript, the prologue in which the nun gives an account of her writing activities, and the table of contents to the codex. This edition is preceded by a description and a brief analysis of the codicological aspects of the manuscript as well as its contents. |
