Document Details : Title: The Extent of Q Author(s): McLOUGHLIN, Michael Journal: Ephemerides Theologicae Lovanienses Volume: 90 Issue: 3 Date: 2014 Pages: 525-556 DOI: 10.2143/ETL.90.3.3044869 Abstract : According to the Two Source theory Matthew and Luke composed by editing Mark, and a second document now called Q. The view taken here is that Matthew and Luke derived all their double tradition from that single document. The usual objection to this view is that the versions they give sometimes differ sharply. The reply offered here is that the same degree of difference is found when they copy Mark (a document). Hence the objection is without force. |
