Document Details : Title: A Petition to the Epimeletes Dorotheos in Trinity College Dublin Author(s): BAETENS, Gert Journal: Ancient Society Volume: 44 Date: 2014 Pages: 91-104 DOI: 10.2143/AS.44.0.3044800 Abstract : Hundreds of fragments from the Petrie papyri still remain unpublished today. This article offers the editio princeps of six fragments from Trinity College, Dublin (inv. Pap. Gr. folder 127), that were previously joined by Smyly and Clarysse. All six belong to a single petition (hypomnema) from the late third century BC, in which the village scribe of Tanis asks the epimeletes Dorotheos for help concerning problems with a grain shipment. |
