A Christian who wishes to enter into a heart-to-heart dialogue with Hinduism must have two qualifications: a preliminary empathic apprehension of the real nature of the other religion’s core experience, and an uninhibited willingness and readiness to enter into a communicatio in sacris with the Hindus. This article attempts to see and cherish 'the seeds of the Word' and 'the ray of Truth' found in the Bhagavad Gita and the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius. True dialogue among religions is a common search for truth. |
