Specific focus is placed on the relation between Desmond’s approach and the classical/Neoplatonic Christian tradition, particularly Pseudo-Dionysius and St. Augustine. The author then compares and contrasts Desmond’s ways of naming God in relation to two other contemporary positions developed by Jean-Luc Marion and by Denys Turner. |
