Document Details : Title: Een onbekend handschrift met evangeliepreken uit de tekstgroep Zwolle Subtitle: Heverlee, Abdij van Park, 5 Author(s): ERMENS, Daniël Journal: Ons Geestelijk Erf Volume: 81 Issue: 2-3 Date: Juni-September 2010 Pages: 194-242 DOI: 10.2143/OGE.81.2.2053916 Abstract : During the compilation of the Repertorium of Middle Dutch Sermons a manuscript containing 66 sermons from the so called 'tekstgroep Zwolle' (γ-version) was found in the library of the Abbey of Park in Heverlee, near Louvain. This manuscript has ended up in the abbey after the re-foundation of the abbey in 1836, but it is unknown when or how. Codicoligical research and linguistic analyses of the text reveal that the manuscript probably was written in the area between Maastricht and Liège in the second half of the fifteenth century. The text of the sermons, which is also delivered in several other manuscripts, is the oldest known version of these sermons that contains both winter and summer cycle and enables us to study them more thoroughly in future. |
