Document Details : Title: From Glory to Glory (2 Corinthians 3,18) Subtitle: A Reply to Paul B. Duff Author(s): LAMBRECHT, Jan Journal: Ephemerides Theologicae Lovanienses Volume: 85 Issue: 1 Date: 2009 Pages: 143-146 DOI: 10.2143/ETL.85.1.2040700 Abstract : In a reply to Paul B. Duff who understands the phrase 'from glory to glory' in 2 Cor 3,18 as pointing to the glory of Moses’ ministry ('from') and that of Paul’s ministry ('to'), this note defends its meaning as implying a constant increase, from one degree of glory to a greater degree. The context of 3,18, the parallel passages 4,16-18 and 3,9, as well as Gal 4,19, recommend this interpretation. |
