This approach has necessarily produced disconnected and fragmentary results. On the contrary, a study of the 6th to 8th centuries Interregnum, frequently disregarded or neglected by medievalists, appears to identify it as a significant period during which were set and consolidated the constants that allowed the Armenians to survive over the centuries as a nation without a state. |
