Document Details : Title: Een schildersvisie Subtitle: Piet Mondriaan over de woning, de straat, de stad Author(s): BLOTKAMP, Carel Journal: Spiegel der Letteren Volume: 48 Issue: 2 Date: 2006 Pages: 189-197 DOI: 10.2143/SDL.48.2.2019427 Abstract : Spurred on by the interdisciplinary ambitions of Theo van Doesburg, Bart van der Leck and Georges Vantongerloo, Piet Mondriaan, a painter through and through, also developed a distinctive view of the home, street and city of the future. He never collaborated with architects; he limited his efforts to the design of his studio. But his visions of a future built environment, which he evoked in his writings, were arguably the most radical ones produced by De Stijl. |
