Although little known among theologians and Christian communities, the ecumenical agreement Guidelines for Admission to the Eucharist Between the Chaldean Church and the Assyrian Church of the East (20th October 2001) is nonetheless significant on an ecclesiological, liturgical and dogmatic level. It proposes openness towards legitimate differences and suggests that Western Catholics revisit mediaeval theology of the Eucharist. |
