Although the comments which a reviewer needs to make are by necessity critical, nothing is intended to take away from the very real contribution to the discussion of the vexed questions of “magic” and “religion” represented by the conference and by the weekly seminars that preceded it. The textual perspectives promised by the title are provided by the final section, entitled “texts”, which consists of four papers for most of which text copies are provided. |
