Document Details : Title: La liberté dans les œuvres de jeunesse de Hegel Subtitle: Quelques jalons pour une recherche éthique Author(s): GAZIAUX, Éric Journal: Ephemerides Theologicae Lovanienses Volume: 81 Issue: 4 Date: December 2005 Pages: 365-386 DOI: 10.2143/ETL.81.4.2004474 Abstract : This article works through Hegel’s early writings as regards freedom and examines firstly the period of Tübingen, then the period of Bern and finally that of Frankfurt. As far as this last period is concerned the major work presented is “Der Geist des Christentums und sein Schicksal”, a work in which Hegel’s whole genius reveals itself, not yet caught in the logic of the system to come. This work is essential for the ethical concept because it is characterised by a ternary structure in which the limits of ethics are transcended in love whose limits are overcome in religion. The study discloses a development of fundamental ethics, explained in a fourth part and centred on the liberation of the human being’s freedom and the longing for reconciliation. |
