Growing out of a concern for marriage and family life, the bishops see the process of the diocesan conversations project as equally important as whatever results may be implemented from information gathered during the undertaking. Each diocese has been encouraged to personalize the project that is hoped to identify the primary difficulties facing their families and priorities for family pastoral care. Elizabeth Davies, the Marriage & Family Life Project Officer employed by the Bishops’ Conference to initiate and coordinate the listening process summarizes the project’s aims. |
