Ratherius adapted and modified traditional prayers, reshaping them to express his own highly personal concerns. The analysis focuses on three particular prayers, with special attention to one preserved in the manuscript Verona, Biblioteca Capitolare, XXVIII (26), which can be directly attributed to Ratherius’s own hand. |
