Within this cultural-historical framework, the representations of Nilotic landscapes in different types of artistic media also began to be developed in the Roman repertoire. The aim of this paper is to analyse a Nilotic mosaic situated in the Insula Episcopalis of Naples. The reinterpretation of its archaeological context and chronology also provides new insights on the overall iconographic study of this mosaic floor. |
