Abstract :

Nishida's thought on place, as developed in 1926 in his explanation of Plato and Aristotle, opens new possibilities for a far eastern thought working in particular to overcome the subjectocentrism of western philosophy. Nishitani a pupil of Nishida, sought to work out this viewpoint setting out from Zen Buddhism and seeks then to determine the fountain-head of knowledge. Derrida, a critic of ethnocentrism, returns to the Platonic notion of 'Chora', which Nishida, Nishitani and Derrida, each in a different way, seek to give and indication in the direction of the same seat of the non-apparent.
