A public presentation was organized in Rome conjointly by the Italian Association of Theologians and the Pontifical Gregorian University, on 22 November 1997. Another public presentation was organized in Paris by the Éditions du Cerf, which took place at the Institut Catholique, on 27 October 1997. An ecumenical symposium on the book took place in Venice on 8 October 1998. The book, which has to date run through seven editions in three languages, obtained a 1998 Book Award of the Catholic Press Association for Theology in the United States. |
