Abstract :
The presence of Jewish exegetical tradition in the Peshitta is now recognised by most scholars and students of the version to be a fact. The question which recent studies have sought to address is the nature and extent of that influence, as well as how these factors contribute to our understanding of Peshitta's origins and identification of its tranbslators. To be sure, the Jewish provenance of Peshitta is now hardly in doubt.
