L’examen approfondi de ces différentes figures féminines aide à comprendre pourquoi le Catalogue des sacrifiants que nous trouvons dans le Dēn Yašt, le texte du sacrifice offert à la déesse Religion, est réduit à deux entrées: Zoroastre et sa troisième épouse. The women belonging to those close to him — his mother, his three wives, his three daughters, the three virgins of the future —, whose names often create difficulties, appear as incarnations of the good religion Zoroaster brought to this world. The in-depth examination of those different female figures helps in understanding why the Sacrificers’ Catalogue contained in the Dēn Yašt, the text of the sacrifice offered to the goddess Religion, has only two entries: Zoroaster and his third wife. |
