Dit artikel beschrijft een oriënterende cross-sectionele studie waarin is onderzocht of relaties voorkomen tussen gezinsstructuur en -interacties enerzijds en het vóórkomen van ziekten anderzijds. Gezinsinteracties werden door middel van een vragenlijst, de Gezinsklimaatschaal (GKS-II), in kaart gebracht. Family environment and the prevalence of diseases In this cross-sectional study we examined the occurrence of any relation between the emergence of medical disorders and the family structure and interactions, as measured with the Dutch version of the Family Environment Scale (GKS-II). Less cohesion between family members and lower scores for expression are related to a decreased prevalence of side-effects of drugs. Chronic diseases are related to lower scores on the conflict scale and higher scores on organisation. Spine problems were related to lower social orientation. Hypertension was not related to any GKS-score. |
