Document Details : Title: The Occurrence of 'Kainam' in Luke's Genealogy Evidence of the Septuagint Influence? Author(s): STEYN, G.J. Journal: Ephemerides Theologicae Lovanienses Volume: 65 Issue: 4 Date: December 1989 Pages: 409-411 DOI: 10.2143/ETL.65.4.556430 Abstract : Possible Septuagint influence on the Gospel of Luke has been pointed out during the current century. In some recently undertaken research, it was found that the closest resemblance between Luke's Gospel and the collection of documents known as the Septuagint (LXX), appeared in Luke's own source material, the so-called 'Sondergut-Lukas'. However, not all these passages have been examined, and before one can categorically state that the 'Sondergut-Lukas' (SLk) was influenced by the LXX, such comprehensive research has to be undertaken. |
