Abstract :
Research carried out in the 1960s by the Centro Ricerche Archeologiche e Scavi di Torino per il Medio Oriente e l’Asiain the round city included in the metropolitan area of Seleucia-Ctesiphon, and since identified as Veh-Ardashir, brought to light a number of small bronze sculptures: some fibulae with figured decoration and three small statuettes. All of them were promptly published. One of the statuettes is distinguished by the attribute held in its right hand, a thunderbolt, which immediately identifies it as Zeus.
