Abstract :
De auteur bespreekt in dit artikel het verband tussen de achternamen met een geografische oorsprong en de plaats waar de mensen met dit soort achternaam heen gemigreerd zijn. Ze concludeert dat Noord-West Nederland een grote aantrekkingskracht had in de 17de eeuw en dat Belgen honkvaster zijn dan Nederlanders.




Between Brussels and Amsterdam: Family Names and Migration within the Dutch Speaking Region
The author discusses in this article the relation between surnames with a geographical meaning and the place where the people with these names went to. She concludes that the Northwest of the Netherlands was very attractive in the 17th century and that Belgian are more homeward bound than Dutchmen.
