Le propriétaire de la statue, Platon, fils de Platon, et sa famille sont connus par un ensemble de sources grecques et démotiques qui permettent de démontrer qu’il était stratège de plusieurs nomes en Thébaïde au début du Ier s. av. J.-C. La statue porte une inscription commémorant plusieurs oracles adressés par le dieu Amon à Platon dans le temple de Karnak à l’occasion de fêtes de Djêmé. Publication of the ptolemaic statue Cairo JE 38033 found by Legrain in the 'Cachette' of Karnak.The owner of the statue, Plato, son of Plato, and his family are known through several Greek and Demotic sources, which allow to demonstrate that the he was a strategos of several nomes in the Thebaid at the beginning of the first century B.C. This statue bears an inscription commemorating several oracles addressed by the god Amun to Plato in the temple of Karnak during the festivals of Djêmé. |
