Abstract :
First edition of P.Mich. inv. 1336, a receipt for payment for the poll tax drafted in Arsinoe in 133 CE. The taxpayer was a metropolite, and perhaps the protagonist of a small family archive from second century Theadelpheia. I also discuss the handwriting of the professional scribe of this document, who wrote other poll tax receipts spanning from 133 to 148 CE.
