Toutefois, apparaît ici une formulation différente amenant une modification du sens du groupe «premier jour», qui n’est pas à traduire comme jusqu’alors par «premier jour (des soins)» mais doit se comprendre «premier jour (de l’abattage)». Ce sens est à prendre en compte pour les autres papyrus médicaux concernés. Papyrus Louvre E 32847, of which Thierry Bardinet provided a first commented translation, presents the prescription of a bandage with fresh meat, a practice well attested in medical papyri to treat wounds. However, a different wording appears here, leading to a change in the meaning of the group 'first day', which is not to be translated as before as 'first day (of care)' but must be understood as 'first day (of slaughtering)'. This meaning is to be taken into account for the other medical papyri concerned. |
