Abstract :
In this article, I argue for an improved taxonomy of stichographic 'systems' that more accurately represents the multiformity exhibited by stichographic texts. I point out several misidentifications in editiones principes or in E. Tov’s surveys, and I suggest revisions for the following scrolls: 1QDeut^b (1Q5), 1QPs^a (1Q10), 4QpaleoDeut^r (4Q45), 4QPs^b (4Q84), 4QPs^c (4Q85), 4QProv^b (4Q103), 5QPs (5Q5), 4QProv^c (4Q103a), 4QJob^a (4Q99), 4QpaleoJob^c (4Q101), 5QLam^b (5Q7), Messianic Apocalypse (4Q521), and Hymnic Composition (1Q38). Additionally, I propose three hitherto unidentified stichographic sections in 4QJob^b (4Q100), Instruction-like Work (4Q424), and Beatitudes (4Q525). Overall, these data suggest that Tov’s three main stichographic systems should be nuanced and broadened to reflect a greater degree of irregularity and variety.

Dans cet article, je me prononce en faveur d’une taxonomie améliorée des «systèmes» stichométrique qui représentent plus précisément la multiformité montrée par les textes stichométriques. Je détaille plusieurs erreurs d’identification dans editiones principes ou dans les études de E. Tov, et je suggère des révisions pour les rouleaux suivants: 1QDeut^b (1Q5), 1QPs^a (1Q10), 4QpaleoDeut^r (4Q45), 4QPs^b (4Q84), 4QPs^c (4Q85), 4QProv^b (4Q103), 5QPs (5Q5), 4QProv^c (4Q103a), 4QJob^a (4Q99), 4QpaleoJob^c (4Q101), 5QLam^b (5Q7), Messianic Apocalypse (4Q521), and Hymnic Composition (1Q38). De plus, je propose trois passages stichométriques jusqu’alors non identifiées dans 4QJob^b (4Q100), Instruction-like Work (4Q424), et Beatitudes (4Q525). Dans l’ensemble, ces données suggèrent que les trois principaux systèmes stichométrique de Tov devraient être nuancés et élargis pour représenter plus d’irrégularité et de variété.
