This may be true, but any religion will emphasize continuity with the past when it comes to authoritative documents. In this case some elements in Nostra Aetate contain a genuine renewal such as the grouping together of Islam and Judaism as religions going back to Abraham, which should be distinguished from the ‘divine sparks’ to be found in other religions. |
