Document Details : Title: Gegenwärtige Anforderungen an den bischöflichen Dienst in der Kirche Author(s): LEHMANN, Karl Journal: ET-Studies Volume: 8 Issue: 2 Date: 2017 Pages: 207-227 DOI: 10.2143/ETS.8.2.3245452 Abstract : Der Beitrag behandelt 'Gegenwärtige Anforderungen an den bischöflichen Dienst in der Kirche' und versucht dies in folgenden Perspektiven: Zuerst soll das Bewusstsein geschärft werden für den geschichtlichen Wandel des Bischofsbildes in Geschichte und Gegenwart (1.), danach geht es um tragende Säulen des Kircheseins und darin aller Ämter, auch des Bischofsamtes (2.), dazu gehört ein neues Gemeinschaftsbewusstsein für alle Ämter im Sinne des II. Vatikanischen Konzils, hier sind maßgebend eine weltweite Solidarität auch in der Kirche, das Verständnis der kirchlichen Gemeinschaft als 'communio', die Sendung in alle Welt und der Auftrag zur humanen Mitverantwortung in der Welt und die Sorge um das Heil ('missio') für alle. Auf dem Fundament dieser grundlegenden Strukturen wird vor allem die Aufgabe der medialen Vermittlung (3.) unter den Bedingungen der heutigen Kommunikation, ganz besonders auch im Blick auf die Behandlung innerkirchlicher Konflikte, angesprochen. Schließlich wird als eine grundlegende Aufgabe des Bischofsamtes die Vermittlung zwischen der Ortskirche (Bistum) und dem Zentrum der Weltkirche (Rom) in einigen wesentlichen Punkten behandelt, z.B. Einheit und Vielfalt, Spannungen, beständiger Ausgleich, Partizipation. Notwendige Voraussetzungen für alle Vermittlungsdienste sind gegen alle Gefährdungen durch Selbstüberschätzung vor allem Mut und Zivilcourage. The paper deals with 'present-day demands on the service of the bishops in the church' and pursues this in the following perspectives. First, awareness will be sharpened of the historical changes in the image of bishops in the past and in the present (1), after that there are the load-bearing elements of the church and all its offices including the office of bishops (2), then a new community consciousness is required for all these offices in the sense of the Second Vatican Council, what is decisive here is a worldwide solidarity in the church, an understanding of the church community as 'communio', with a mission to all the world. There is a task of joint human responsibility in the world and care for the salvation ('missio') of everyone. On the foundation of these basic structures is the task for everyone of communicating through the media within the requirements of present-day communication, especially in the way inner-church conflicts are addressed (3). Finally there will be the basic task for the bishops of mediating between the local church (the diocese) and the centre of the worldwide church (Rome) on several essential points, for example, unity and diversity, tensions in the church, constant balancing-acts, and participation. Necessary presuppositions for all mediation are guarding against the dangers of over-evaluating oneself and, before everything, fortitude and courage. L’article porte sur les exigences actuelles du service des évêques dans l’Église et développe les perspectives suivantes. 1/ Une plus grande conscience des changements historiques dans l’image des évêques, dans le passé et aujourd’hui. 2/ Les charges de l’Église et tous ses services, y compris celui des évêques. 3/ Une nouvelle conscience communautaire requise pour tous ces services, au sens du Concile Vatican II; une solidarité mondiale décisive dans l’Église, celle-ci étant comprise comme «communion» avec une mission mondiale. 3/ Une tâche commune de responsabilité humaine dans le monde et le souci du salut de chacun («missio»). Sur la base de ces structures, l’article évoque la tâche pour chacun de communiquer par les médias conformément aux exigences de communication actuelles, en particulier dans la manière de traiter les conflits internes de l’Église. Il évoque enfin la tâche de médiation fondamentale des évêques, entre l’Église locale (le diocèse) et l’Église au coeur du monde (Rome) sur plusieurs points: l’unité et la diversité, les tensions dans l’Église, de constants exercices d’équilibre, et la participation. Les présupposés nécessaires à toute médiation pour éviter les dangers de se surévaluer, et, avant tout, force morale et courage. |
