Quel est le rapport entre ces deux missions? Sont-elles complémentaires ou compétitives? Nous présentons ensuite quelques aspects importants de la pneumatologie de Hans Urs von Balthasar en nous concentrant sur sa notion de «l’inversion trinitaire» qui se trouve au centre de toute son entreprise théologique. Nous poursuivons cette démarche avec une analyse de l’Esprit comme Dieu extatique en explorant le concept du «Go-Between God» de l’évêque et théologien anglican John Vernon Taylor. This article presents a critical reflection on the Spirit as foundation of Christian existence and mission starting with the thesis of Frederick Crowe, based on the theology of Bernard Lonergan, that we must affirm the priority of the Spirit’s mission with respect to the mission of the Son. How should we understand the relationship between these two missions? Are they complementary or competitive? We then present some basic aspects of the pneumatology developed by Hans Urs von Balthasar while concentrating on the notion of the 'Trinitarian inversion' which forms the center of his entire theological enterprise. We proceed further with an analysis of the Spirit as the ecstatic God while exploring the concept of the 'Go-Between God' as developed by the Anglican theologian and bishop John Vernon Taylor. |
