L’étude des monnaies frappées par l’ethnarque nous révèle un art habile de la propagande, notamment au moyen de jeux graphiques sur le titre d’ethnarque. Flavius Josephus informs us that Archaelaos, son of Herod the Great, came to power in the course of three well organized ceremonies. Study of the coins minted by the ethnarch shows us a fine propaganda, noticeably by means of graphic plays on the title of ethnarch. |
