La présente étude entend, en examinant les versions, la place du mot dans l’économie du psautier puis son emploi dans quelques psaumes, souligner la vraisemblance de la première hypothèse. סֶלָה which appears almost exclusively in the Psalms, has been understood in various ways. Ancient versions take it as an interpretative annotation of the meaning of the text, whereas an other tradition, equally ancient and today largely dominant, understands it as a musical annotation. The goal of the present study is to underline the probability of the first explanation by investigating the versions, the place of the word in the economy of the Psalter, and finally its use in certain psalms. |
