Er beschreibt den prekären Ort der Theologie im Konzert der Wissenschaften in der Gegenwart und bemüht sich um eine Profilierung der Theologie als hermeneutisch orientierter Handlungswissenschaft. Da sich die Wissenschaftlichkeit der Theologie nach Auffassung des Autors zentral daran bemisst, dass sie ihre eigenen Geltungsansprüche im unbegrenzten und egalitären Diskurs aller zu bewähren hat, hat Theologie in seiner Sicht nur als öffentliche Theologie Zukunft, die zugleich das intensive Gespräch mit religionslosen und andersreligiösen Weltbildern sucht. Der Autor wirbt deswegen für einen dialogischen und komparativen Neuaufbruch in der Theologie. The paper attempts a contemporary evaluation of the role of theology as an academic discipline. It describes the precarious place of theology among other disciplines in the present and attempts a profile of theology as a hermeneutically oriented practical discipline. In the author’s understanding, this is central to the evaluation of the 'scientific' nature of theology, so that its own claims to value can be verified in an unrestricted and egalitarian debate. In his view, theology only has a future as public theology, which at the same time seeks an intensive conversation with a non-religious understanding of the world and those of other religions. This is why the author makes a case here for a new dialogical and comparative departure in theology. L’article se propose d’évaluer quel est aujourd’hui le rôle de la théologie comme discipline académique. Il montre que sa place actuelle parmi les autres disciplines est précaire, et tente d’élaborer son profil comme celui d’une discipline pratique à orientation herméneutique. Selon l’auteur, c’est un point central dans l’évaluation de la nature «scientifique» de la théologie pour qu’il soit possible de vérifier ce qu’elle revendique pour elle-même par un débat ouvert et à part égale. De son point de vue, le seul avenir de la théologie est celui d’une théologie publique à la recherche d’une conversation approfondie avec ceux qui comprennent le monde sans religion, et avec d’autres religions. De ce fait, l’auteur plaide pour une avancée de la théologie vers le dialogue et l’ouverture à l’autre. |
