Überlegungen im Anschluss an Jürgen Habermas Author(s): RENNER, Tobias Journal: ET-Studies Volume: 5 Issue: 2 Date: 2014 Pages: 333-346 DOI: 10.2143/ETS.5.2.3047142 Abstract : Since his vigorous interchanges with the then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, Jürgen Habermas has always been treated on the Catholic side as an intellectual giant, in order to underline the necessity of religious contributions to social debates. Two points are essential for a serious reception of Habermas from the catholic side: first, for a perception of social developments that grasp the concepts of pluralisation and secularisation, and their inevitable influence on religious life; and second, for the embedding of Habermasian language that is explicitly deliberative democratic. With this, certain challenges become evident that must be taken up by religious citizens in any community. From this background in mind, the thesis is launched that has to lead to a twofold institutional arrangement within the church: the guarantee of pluralism within the church and, beyond that, the possibility of processes of learning in the area of ethical questions. Depuis ses vigoureux échanges avec celui qui était alors le cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, Jürgen Habermas a toujours été considéré, du côté catholique, comme un génie intellectuel, et ce pour souligner la nécessité de contributions religieuses aux débats sociaux. Qu’Habermas soit l’objet d’une réception sérieuse dans le monde catholique, deux points sont nécessaire: d’abord, pour percevoir les développements sociaux en lien avec les concepts de pluralisation et de sécularisation, et avec leur influence inévitable sur la vie religieuse; ensuite, pour intégrer le langage habermasien, qui est explicitement celui de la démocratie délibérative. Cela met en évidence certains défis qui doivent être relevés par les citoyens religieux dans chaque communauté. C’est sur cet arrière-plan que la thèse est exposée. Elle doit conduire à une double disposition institutionnelle dans l’Église: la garantie du pluralisme dans l’Église et, au-delà, la possibilité de processus d’apprentissage dans le domaine des questions éthiques. |
