Data were collected using a cross-sectional survey of a national sample of African Americans. Results indicated that participants with higher Active SHLOC perceived higher amounts of social and religious capital across all three dimensions. The relationship between Passive SHLOC and capital was less consistent. Theoretical and therapeutic implications are discussed. La présente étude a examiné la relation entre le locus de contrôle actif et passif de la santé spirituelle ««SHLOC» et trois dimensions du capital social et religieux (le soutien social, l’interdépendance et la participation de la communauté). Les données ont été collectées à partir d’une enquête transversale d’un échantillon national Africo-Américain. Les résultats ont indiqué que les participants avec un «SHLOC» actif plus élevé perçoivent des niveaux plus élevés de capital social et religieux pour chacune des trois dimensions. La relation entre le «SHLOC» passif et le capital était moins consistante. L’étude discute des implications théoriques et thérapeutiques. |
