Dans cet article, Philippe J. Roy présente la pensée des futurs membres du groupe – car il n’était pas encore formellement constitué – sur le premier schéma discuté dans l’aula conciliaire, le De Sacra liturgia. L’auteur s’attarde principalement sur les interventions des futurs membres ou sympathisants du CIP, orales ou écrites, qui se focalisèrent essentiellement sur les points suivants: les langues vernaculaires, les pouvoirs et les droits des Conférences épiscopales, la concélébration et la communion sous les deux espèces, les changements apportés aux sacrements – en particulier à celui des malades –, ainsi que l’Office divin. Under the presidency of Mgr Marcel Lefebvre, the Coetus Internationalis Patrum (CIP) was the most important group of opponents in the bosom of the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965). In the present article, Philippe J. Roy presents the ideas of the future members of the group – for it had not yet been formally constituted – about the first schema discussed at the council, De Sacra Liturgia. The author dwells upon the oral and written interventions of the future members or sympathizers of the CIP, which basically dealt with the following issues: vernacular languages, the jurisdiction and rights of Episcopal conferences, concelebration, communion under both species, modifications of the sacramental rites – particularly the anointing of the sick – as well as the Divine Office. |
