Abstract :
In this paper, I will study the family clans who came together in Warsaw at the beginning of the 20th century, the role these literary families played as the backbone of influential artistic groups and their outstanding contribution to the development of the local press. This will lead to an analysis of the proliferation of important Varsovian daily periodicals, such as the mythical Haynt and Der Moment. These and other newspapers provided a means of subsistence to numerous writers who during these years were drawn to the literary Varshe, and they were the discoverers of great artistic talents and the disseminators of the latest literary developments in Europe and Palestine, of the work of dozens of young Jewish men and women making their debut in Yiddish literature, of writers who become well known through their pages, offering samples of their poems and prose and of the great classics of Jewish literature. The last part of the work focuses on the first five years of the Zynger family on Krochmalna Street. These were very important years for Yisroel Zynger, who was trying to give expression to his aesthetic interests, and especially for Ester, who during this period would engage in a noisy and painful rebellion within her parent’s rabbinical home.
