The article considers the analogous social and ideological conditions, which underlie celtic and germanic myths (respectively irish ans islandic), that have in common the notion of a banquet of the warriors in the royal banqueting hall, in the night where the beings of the Other World come round the residences of the living ones, and the exploit of the heros who dares encounter them. |
