This seems to be an especial problem for Catholic families attempting to move, by way of functional specialities, from the strong ideology of Catholic family life to an effective praxis. The paper explores a particular sub-type of Catholic family, namely, those who elect to homeschool their children. By examining homeschooling families from Alberta, Canada, the capacity of the family to act as both a religious community of practise and as an agent that reinforces religious plausibility is explored. Homeschooling families are described as communities that are intentional and well networked. |
