Abstract :
This article comes to the conclusion that Mark has used Q for his version of Jesus’ teaching on divorce and for that of Jesus’ double command of love. One cannot separately refer, as John P. Meier does, to Mark and Q in assuming that both pericopes enjoy multiple attestation. There is no need to postulate for them pre-Markan (oral) traditions which are independent of Q. Moreover, Mark’s editing of Q should be carefully analyzed.
