Abstract :

In a course on Plato’s Sophist in 1924-5 Heidegger proposes an interpretation of Book 6 of the Nicomachean Ethics which we consider to be the organ point of his hermeneutics of facticity (1919-23). In it he treats, by means of his analyses of φρόνησις of σοφία, of the very nature of this hermeneutics, the fundamentally practical determination of which we will show that it brings to light. But at the same time the aim will be to specify the extent and the limits of this affirmation as regards the properly ethical as well as the speculative resources of what we may call the «praxic» dimension of the thought of the young Heidegger.
