Document Details : Title: Verscheidenheid in uniform Subtitle: Een bezoek aan Het Pantheon, de nieuwe permanente tentoonstelling van het Letterkundig Museum in Den Haag Author(s): DEBERGH, Gwennie Journal: Spiegel der Letteren Volume: 52 Issue: 3 Date: 2010 Pages: 337-349 DOI: 10.2143/SDL.52.3.2053947 Abstract : This article deals with Het Pantheon, the new permanent exposition at the Letterkundig Museum in The Hague. The exposition has been organized according to mathematical principles: a thousand years of Dutch literature is presented through one hundred standardized short films about one hundred authors, and through four thematically organized rooms with manuscripts, facsimile documents, and paraphernalia. This approach offers a lot of material to the visitors and is especially suited to make a first acquaintance with the best in Dutch literature. However, it is bugged by the stringent format of the highest common denominator and thus fails to convince the more advanced reader. |
