It will identify three scientific approaches—traditional, functional, and textual—and will describe how the functional approach is dominant among Polish researchers. It will also describe the influence of other fields of study, especially stylistics and textual linguistics as the newest tendencies. This paper will propose that emphasis on stylistics can lead to an excessive atomization of the phenomena being analyzed, and that a complementary method of analysis may provide better, more holistic understanding. There have been recent attempts to create a new complementary method of analysis, and this development is important when examining onomastics among different literary genres. Cet article a pour but de décrire le développement de l’onomastique littéraire en Pologne depuis 1953. Il identifie trois approches scientifiques – traditionnelle, fonctionnelle et textuelle – et décrit la domination de l’approche fonctionnelle chez les chercheurs polonais. Il décrit aussi l’influence des autres champs d’étude, notamment la stylistique et la linguistique textuelle comme tendances les plus récentes. Nous pensons que l’engouement pour la stylistique peut conduire à une atomisation excessive des phénomènes à analyser, et qu’une méthode complémentaire d’analyse peut fournir une compréhension meilleure et plus holistique. Des tentatives ont eu lieu récemment de créer une nouvelle méthode complémentaire d’analyse, importante pour l’étude de l’onomastique dans différents genres littéraires. Das Ziel des Beitrags ist es, die Entwicklung der literarischen Onomastik in Polen seit 1953 zu beschreiben. Er identifiziert drei wissenschaftliche Herangehensweisen (traditionell, funktional und textuell) und beschreibt, wie die funktionale Herangehensweise unter den polnischen Forschern und Forscherinnen dominiert. Ebenso beschreibt er den Einfluss anderer Forschungsfelder, besonders der Stilistik und der Textlinguistik als die neuesten Tendenzen. Die Verfasserin des Artikels schlägt vor, dass die Verlagerung des Schwerpunkt auf die Stilistik zu einer exzessiven Atomisierung der analysierten Phänome führt und dass es besser wäre, die komplementäre Analysemethode im Interesse eines ganzheitlichen Verfahrens anzuwenden. Es hat neuere Versuche gegeben, eine neue komplementäre Analysemethode zu schaffen; diese Entwicklung wird dann wichtig, wenn es darum geht, die Namen in verschiedenen literarischen Genres zu erforschen. |
