Abstract :
This note replies to the proposal of A. Pitta to no longer refer to 2 Cor 11,1–12,18 as “the Fool’s Speech” but the “immoderate periautologia” of Paul. The vocabulary as well as the reasoning indicate that the qualification of 11,22–12,10 as a foolish discourse of Paul should be maintained. Criticism is also brought forward against Pitta detecting in 11,5-6 a propositio and against his peculiar division of the so-called probatio of 11,7–12,10.
