Abstract :

The article is about the different utilization that the Biblical interpreter Abraham ibn Ezra made of two biblical terms ( עת and זמן ) concerning time in his commentary on Qohelet. Curiously, such a differentiation occurs in texts with a clear astrological content, which delimits the meaning of these two temporal terms. In this way עת appears in relation with the branch of astrology called in Hebrew מבחרים, and זמן is for Ibn Ezra the term which denotes time as duration and the result of the spherical movement of heavens.
