Abstract :
Prof. Kienast has assembled in this volume all the inscriptions of the kings of the Old Akkadian dynasty and those written in Akkadian by the kings of the dynasties of pre-Sargonic Mari, the sakkanakkum period, Mari, Gutium, Elam, Ur III, and various other royal inscriptions from minor potentates spanning the period from Early Dynastic III through early Old Babylonian. Further, there are various inscriptions of members of the royal family (the series beginning with A) and high officials (the series beginning with B), some of which are dedicated in the name of the ruling monarch and some of which are not.
