Abstract :
The article is a reply to an article, written by Yoginder Sikand, critiquing certain aspects of the author’s approach to Islam and the Qur’an. The article replies to questions regarding his views on social issues, democracy, and the Qur’an, his use of hadith, and his view of how religions are related. Further, the article defends Engineer’s emphasis on the values such as peace, justice and compassion and their place in Islam.
