On discute le fait que la plume y désigne la Nouvelle Lune apparaissant à l’horizon occidental après une brève période d’invisibilité et que le rapport apparent entre la plume et le ciel occidental peut être lié à sa présence dans divers signes hiéroglyphiques désignant l’«Ouest». This article discusses a number of texts mentioning a feather in an apparently astronomical context (passages in CT spells 6, 9,156 = BD chapter 114; 335 = BD chapter 17, and Dendara VI, 157,2). It is argued that the feather here designates the New Moon appearing on the western horizon after a brief period of invisibility, and that the apparent relationship between the feather and the western sky may be related to its occurrence in various hieroglyphic signs referring to the ‘West’. |
