Abstract :

A complete wooden carved headrest with Bes representations was published by Champollion at the end of the last century. According to the museographical index-card, this object was present in the Louvre Museum, but only the base of the headrest remains. Now, in the Museum’s storehouse (in 1992), we have found the top of the headrest carved with Bes masks, and the the connection between the base and the top seems positive.
